Hi guys, many people have problems with lags when they have a high ping or play against players with high ping in server or p2p. Mainly, it depends on your location, the distance to the other player and your internet speed.
Here are some suggestions which I have tested with some experiments. They work really good on my laptop and the PCs from all my friends. But it depends to your PC/ Laptop as well. So they are not 100% guaranteed. When you have other good suggestions, then tell us plz. You will also help other new players!
I hope that maybe this part will help you enormously.
In your Graphic Driver Settings/ Graphic Control Panel you should be able to set between PERFORMANCE and QUALITY. Set it to QUALITY.
2. For Laptop/Notebook User
You can change in your Energy Battery Settings between Performance, Balanced and EnergySaveMode. Set to EnergySaveMode.
Set you PC/Laptop to Performance
Right click in/on Computer, then hit Properties, then look to the left and click Advanced System Settings, under performance hit settings, there you can set it up for Performance. Desktop will look like you have Windows 2000 installed but the performance will be improved.
Or create a shortcut on your Desktop when ever you like to play Tekken 3 Online you can swtich to Performance or return to your own settings.
3.1 Manually Create the Shortcut
3.1.1 Right click on a empty area on desktop, and click on New and Shortcut.
3.1.2 Copy and paste the location below into the location area, and click on the Next button.
3.1.3 Type Advanced System Settings for the name, and click on the Finish button.
NOTE: You can name this anything you would like though.
3.1.4 Move the shortcut to where you like for easy use. That's it.
ePSXe wasn't designed to work on dual-core computers.
That's why if you try to play it on a dual-core computer that's running WinXP, the image and sound will stutter and not play smoothly. This is because on a dual-core, XP uses hyperthreading.
To find out if your comp has hyperthreading enabled:
Go to Start > Run > type in: devmgmt.msc > OK > double-click Computer
If you see ACPI Multiprocessor PC, then you have hyperthreading enabled.
Fortunately, there's a solution!
1. WinXP User
1.1 Download this folder Patcher & ImageCGF
1.2 Unzip patcher and imagecfg to same folder.
1.3 Open patcher.exe and browse for imagecfg.exe and for epsxe.exe
1.4 Click Patch and you're done.
2. WinVista/7 User
Make sure the affinity is set to
2.1 Run ePSXe. Hit ctrl+shift+esc to get to the task manger. Find ePSXe.exe under the processes tab. Right click it and select "Set Affinity"
2.2 Change it to CPU 0
Or use EasyToolz - Google and Download
2.1 Install and you will see a little symbol
2.2 Right Click on it and go to CPU Affinity
2.3 Choose the ePSXe.exe in your HDD and set the CPU 0 or CPU 1
This setting is maybe the best way. It is just the lowest setting for Tekken 3 Online.
I tested it with 15 other guys - No OUT OF SYNC - runs 50-60 fps - ...
( Not Guarrented but hope it will work, every PC needs another config )
Make sure you have installed the latest drivers.
While you play make sure no other programs are running except essential, you may even want to disable antivirus software (make sure you re-enable it before going online though)
