Tekken 3 lives on in Poland! On October 25, during Poznań Game Arena 2025 (a big gaming event in our country), a tournament took place with a surprisingly high turnout — around 80 participants including the reserve list, with a 64-player bracket.
It was great to meet series veterans as well as younger fighters. It’s especially exciting to see such strong interest in Tekken 3, the great performance by the Honmaru Team, and the pure joy that comes from returning to iconic retro classics.
Ren (Law, Eddy) – creator of the groundbreaking Arkadyzja, playing flawlessly on stick,
Łakomy (Law) – player known mainly from the Tekken 7 and 8 scene,
Krelian (Law) – one loss to Ren just before entering the finals,
Nomad (King) – impressed the crowd with King’s multipart throws,
Dumian (Law) – founder of Honmaru, without whom the global Tekken 3 online scene might not exist today.
Szakal (Hwoarang).
To make it perfect, we only missed proper controllers (there was just a not‑so‑great joystick available) and solid tournament rules like Double Elimination (we played single matches with 2 rounds, except for the final — one match with 3 rounds). Still, the hype was real, and the event was totally worth it :). Big shoutout to Nocne Retro Granie for organizing this epic throwback tournament!
